“Listen to your gut and do what brings you joy”.
Moving from the National Health Service after 17 years as a GP, I started my practice with the goal of offering an alternative way to support patients with chronic health conditions. I love being a supergeneralist and thrive on figuring out the root causes of patients’ symptoms.
I believe in “Who is the patient who is experiencing the disease, not what is the disease the patient is experiencing”.
Recently, I took a week out to sit and do nothing! This has opened my eyes to realising that sometimes in your healing journey, you just need a space to be.

I am a fully qualified nutritional therapist with a specialist focus on applying functional medicine to best support patient health. The body has an innate capacity to heal itself when presented with personalised nutrition, which has always inspired me. I am constantly learning through research about the food we put in our body and I feel it is my purpose to share this knowledge in a friendly and informative way.
As a natural foodie, I love experimenting in the kitchen, trying out recipes with wholesome ingredients. I am keen to impart my passion to help our patients make nutritionally balanced food choices and plate up simple and tasty meals. As a busy mum of three growing children, I understand the demands and challenges faced when juggling work and family life, and how nutrition support can prove beneficial.
MBChB, MRCGP, AFMCP
I qualified from Leeds University in 1989. Following GP training, I have been working as an NHS GP in Huddersfield for over 20 years.
Following some personal health problems, which conventional medicine failed to solve, I sought some medical advice from a practitioner who used a root-cause approach, similar to functional medicine. The resolution of my health issues led me to seek training in this approach. Since then I have completed training with both the Institute of Functional Medicine and the British Society of Ecological Medicine.
When you learn about functional medicine, it makes so much sense to search for the root causes of a patient’s illness. I love having so much more time to spend with patients and to be able to offer a truly holistic, personalised approach.

I graduated in Medicine from Southampton University in 1997. I have been a General Practitioner for 14 years and continue to work in the NHS with an interest in all aspects of healthcare.
I became a functional medicine practitioner because I believe that conventional medicine treats long-term health problems by treating symptoms and not the root cause. This way of practising medicine is not enough to help most people get better.
This led me to train further with the Institute of Functional Medicine studying the underlying cause of long-term conditions.
I believe that good health is possible by focusing our attention not just on the body but also the mind. I have practised yoga and meditation all of my life. In 2017 I became a Kundalini yoga teacher and mindfulness coach teaching adults and children.

As a lifelong foodie I always gravitated towards a career in nutrition. I don’t believe one size fits all diets work and love that in functional medicine we look at everything that is going on in your life to find a way of eating that works for you.
My MSc in Nutritional Therapy provided me with the skills I needed to practice personalised nutrition whilst the focus on evidence-based practice fuelled my inner science nerd.
I’m particularly passionate about the relationship between what we eat and how we feel – our mental health is connected to our physical health. When I work with you, I look at how you can nourish both your body and mind.
